    I have issues

This isn't a surprise to those of you that know me. But I do. I have issues with a lot of things. This morning, for instance, my neighbor came to pick me up for a playgroup. I followed her there. I noticed her license plate is personalized, and makes reference to BYU. That kinda irks me. Then the playgroup mommies were very shy around me. I would have thought it would be the other way around, but whatever. That kinda bugs me. The dog poops on top of the snow, despite a nice spot of lawn being shoveled bare just for that purpose. That just makes me laugh, because there are all these little land mines all over our beautiful white wonderland.

But the thing that I have the most issue with is light switches. They should all face down when the lights are off, right? Right. Well, apparently super electrician that wired this house thought otherwise. Every switch here is a 3-way. Huh huh, 3 way. And there was no way to get them all down and off at the same time. It's been bugging me so bad since we moved in, but I figured there were a million other things to do besides stress over light switches. Well, Sugar Daddy felt my pain. Last night he fixed them. All of them. Ah, freedom. It's wonderful to see all the switches in the right direction.

Now if I could quit washing my hands and counting steps to the mailbox.....

Hadn't checked your blog in a while - sounds like you are settling in.

After 40 years of marriage, six kids and 21 moves, I still have no space.

    So count yourself fortunate!!

The place looks great - if we ever hit the midwest, we'll stop by.

Don't hold your breath - I suspect we will never hit the midwest.

But that doesn't mean we don't love you.

Just means we spend most of our visiting time at our kids - maybe one of them will move near you!!

Glad you are adapting - you have youth on your side - yours and your kids!

And thanks for your street address - I will add you to my book!

(Which means you might get a Christmas Card in July!!)

Here is the Keli humor back. I have been a little worried about you. I am so proud of you for going to a playgroup. Way to step outside the comfort zone. Must I direct you to brittany's blog about the playgroup Mommies. We have all tried them. The thing about them is that there is usually one Mom there that feels like you do, and she is the jewel.

Yes, the light switch thing drives me crazy too. Ours are 3 way too, but the guy who lived here didn't hook the fans up right so there is really no point to having 3 switches. Maybe Sean can come over and fix mine too. Or maybe I will just hire a cute electrician to fix my 3 way. Ha Ha

good for you for going to playgroup - sounds liekthey are a little intimidated by you - but i'm sure in time you will win them over with your wit and charm.

and the dog on the snow thing is cracking me up.

as is the 3 way issue.

Jill, I can't believe you said that. Now if it was coming from our Kelli, or even Meg, sure, but YOU?

    I'm impressed.

Bonny, my dog wins as the dumbest dog for sure. She's special like that.

Babs, I would love to have you stay with us. It just happens to be on the way to Virginia, if you ever happen to drive. Even if you have a lay over, let me know.
