    Another adventure

Today I asked Meg a question. Do you think it's weird that we, as sisters, do everything together? I mean, I think it's normal for sisters to do lunch, or go to the mall, or get a mani-pedi, which we do, but to attach a 16 foot kayak to the top of a truck and head off to the wild blue just doesn't seem normal. And trust me, normal is a relative term here. I guess I should just consider myself extremely lucky to have such an adventurous counterpart. I was also a little concerned that we looked like lesbians. Which is fine, don't get me wrong, but I was worried that people would look at Meg and think "what is she doing with someone like her?". But all stereotypes aside, we had a great time. We met a guy with his 3 four legged kids who just happened to chill on our beach all afternoon. The dogs were cute, very playful. I don't know about you, but I certainly don't like a strange dog licking my face and leaving sweater-size chunks of fur all over my wet body. Gross. I think he might have had the hots for Meg. Gross. He also said he would lay out naked on that beach when no one was around. Gross. And after a paddle suicide, and depleting the ozone single handedly with our black smoke spewing diesel truck, we made it home safe and sound. Another great adventure under our belts. Now we have to start thinking about a winter activity. Any ideas?

Carter, you're funny. Skiing is cool, but we're thinking more like Swimming (indoor, of course) or Yoga, or Racquetball, or something "alternative". We don't like to be like everybody else.

Yesterday on TV Casey and I saw underwater hockey you even had to come up to breathe for it. It was hilarious because everyone kept taking turns coming up to beathe. Let me know if you try.

Snowmobiling is very fun. (almost as good as 4wheeling).

raquetball is also fun and very stress relieving.

If you want fun and wierd....try turbo jam....pump it. (just kidding)

some other things are.....tubing if you are into that. There are some good spots up hobblecreek canyon. I don't have a lot of ideas, sorry.

Sorry about the Lezbo comment from my son. I'm sure he didn't know he was being politically incorrect. I will teach him Lesbians.

Yes, Jill, if you could, that would sure help the Lesbian movement.

Amy and Lani: Hockey sounds fun, but I'm not sure we could get a team together. For some reason people don't trust being adventurous with Meg and I. Tubing would be fun, as would snowmobiling. Both great ideas! And actually, we were considering a class similar to Turbo Jam. I did it after I had Emma, and looking back, I wish I'd realized how good I looked then. I just hate getting sweaty.....

My first thought was snowshoeing. I've heard it burns tons of calories.

I'm a little jealous that you have someone to do all this adventuring with. I wish I had that.

I was just thinking about snowshoeing today! REI rents snowshoes, and they're right by the canyon, so it makes good sense. Definitely on the list.

I really am lucky to have such a cool sister to do all this with me. Actually, all my sisters (including the in-law) are way fun, and love to do adventures.
