    My new toys

Funny how when I told Sean our washer was on the fritz, he thought it would be fine for a few more years. And yet, when for the last month he had to take over the laundry duty, he suddenly gets the itch to buy a new one. And of course the dryer to match. Either way, I got the ones I wanted, regardless of how it came to be.

does that make it any better to do laundry? I think the only thing that would make it completely better is if it did all the folding and putting away too!

Actually, it does help with the laundry, at least for now while they're new and fun to use! I'm sure it will wear off in a few weeks. It's awesome though, they are whisper quiet. It's weird to be able to run the washer and watch tv at the same time.

I have laundry to do now and wish I could put them in your new machines. They do look fun to use.

very nice looking - i agree with mindy - the folding and putting away gets me too - and the ironing.

one day we'll get new machines - so far we've inherited ones from cousin susanne and bought a sweet avocado green pair from the recycler - $80. what a deal.

The nicest thing about front loading machines is that kids can help move laundry and do their own because everything is in front down low. I must say that getting them up on the pedestal that is optional is an option that I should have chosen. It would have been easier for me.

I wish we could have gotten the pedestal too, but we have a window right behind the washer, and having the pedestal would raise it up too high. But like you said, it is nice to have the kids help move the laundry around.
